Wind hits Belfast Airport flights
01.03.08
One flight had to abort and return to its departure airport and several others were delayed when gusts of wind over 60 miles per hour gripped parts of Northern Ireland yesterday. The FlyBe flight twice attempted to land at Belfast City Airport but was forced to abandon its plans after two failed two attempts last night.
The plane turned around and returned to Manchester, where it had begun its journey. The strong winds and heavy rain also caused delays for a number of other flights at the Belfast airport.
