Belfast City to add new faces to forum
01.03.10
Local people have been encouraged to make their views on Belfast City Airport heard. Three places were available on the airport’s forum, a consultative body established in 1993. A non decision-making body, the forum comprises of local community groups, public authorities, airport management and airport users. The places will be filled over the next few weeks after a number of applications were received.
Alan Crowe, chair of the forum, said: ‘Belfast City Airport is aware of the impact its operations have within the community and it aims to address these issues through the forum. It is very important the views of residents regarding the airport are heard and that information about the airport is fed back to the community. This was a valuable opportunity for those who represent their communities to come forward and join the forum.’
