Belfast International Airport is gearing up for a record 1.2m passengers this summer. With over 100 worldwide destinations, more than 5.5m passengers are expected to use the airport this year, with over 400,000 people passing through the airport over the traditional twelfth fortnight.
In addition to an expanding scheduled programme, a comprehensive charter programme including flights to the Balearics, Canaries, Spain, Croatia, Italy, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Portugal, Bulgaria, Tunisia, as well as USA and Canada will see a record number of holiday makers set off from the airport.
Belfast International managing director John Doran said, ‘This year's figures are extremely encouraging against what is a testing time for aviation. The choice and availability of destinations is better than ever with a number of new, exciting locations available on the route network.’
