06.06.10
Two pensioners have said a low flying plane bound for Belfast City Airport has damaged their homes, UTV reports. The women from east Belfast reported a number of tiles on the roofs of their houses were dislodged yesterday from the turbulence (a vortex) caused by a plane passing.
A spokesperson from the airport said the incident was being investigated. He added: ‘The airport received the report at approximately 16:50 [yesterday]. A member of the airports staff went to the household to speak with the occupant. Our air traffic control is carrying out an investigation with regards to the event.’
