Passengers were forced to evacuate their flight after a ‘technical problem’ on a Jet2 plane at Belfast International Airport, the Belfast Telegraph reports. The Jet2 plane was preparing for takeoff on a flight to Ibiza when the glitch was discovered at around 09:30 yesterday.
The technical problem led to an emergency being declared for a short period and the passengers were forced to disembark and wait for a second plane. A spokeswoman for Jet2 confirmed the technical fault, but was unable to confirm the exact nature of the issue. A spokesman for the airport told the newspaper the emergency situation did not last long.
