Air rage man fined £500

A security officer has been found guilty of disorderly behaviour and fined £500 after he became unruly on a flight to Belfast because he was not allowed to to use the toilet, the Belfast Telegraph reports.
Magistrates heard the incident happened as the evening Ryanair flight from Liverpool to Belfast last November was hit by turbulence. Jason McCourt, 38, of Woodvale Parade, Belfast, was accused of becoming frustrated and acting aggressively towards a stewardess.
Mr McCourt denied a charge of behaving in a disorderly manner on board an aircraft. He said that he became confused at the conflicting information he received over use of the toilet. He also stressed that he was with his young daughter on the flight, had not been drinking and said ‘I'm about 98% sure I didn't swear at anybody.'
However, District Judge Ken Nixon said he was satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that Mr McCourt had acted in a disorderly manner on the flight. He imposed a £500 fine on the father-of-three.
