Codeshare deal for Aer Lingus and United
09.04.08
Aer Lingus and United Airlines have signed a codeshare deal which, subject to US government approval, will give their passengers access to more destinations in Europe and the US without having to make separate bookings.
Aer Lingus said in a statement that the agreement will allow its customers to fly to an additional 200 US destinations by picking up connecting United flights. Customers of United will be able to fly direct to Dublin with Aer Lingus rather than having to fly to Heathrow and pick up a connecting flight. They can also fly to Belfast via Heathrow using Aer LIngus' link launched this year and link to Aer Lingus destinations across Europe from Dublin.
