Loganair axe Blackpool flights
11.06.09
Loganair, the Flybe franchise partner, is axing its two daily flights between Blackpool Airport and both Belfast City and the Isle of Man next month, after only launching them in April. But airport bosses are not concerned as Manx2 has announced that it will add flights on the routes.
Loganair has said it is pulling out of the airport because of a lack of demand, with its last flight leaving on July 12. However, Sue Kendrick, communications manager at Blackpool Airport, said: ‘Obviously it's disappointing, but Loganair could not compete with Manx2, who offer similar flights.'
