Flybe axe Galway flights
13.05.08
Flybe is axing routes between Ireland and three UK airports. The airline is pulling out of Galway Airport, scrapping routes to Belfast, Southampton and Birmingham during peak seasons.
Galway Airport Managing Director, Joe Walsh said Flybe was not getting enough passengers from Galway to make the routes viable and had taken the decision as a result of a cost-cutting measure. The regional budget airline flew from Galway to Southampton four times a week, with the Belfast route a daily service.
