Aer Lingus confirm extra Heathrow flight
14.03.10
Aer Lingus is still on track to grow its services at Belfast International Airport, the airline's commercial director announced yesterday. Enda Corneille gave the reassurance after the Irish airline reported a loss for 2009 of €66.2m (£60m) and said that it would make hundreds of employees redundant.
Mr Corneille confirmed that Aer Lingus, which operates flights to a range of European locations from Belfast International, will launch a further flight from the airport to Heathrow at the end of the month once it launches its summer season schedule. This will take the airline’s number of daily flights between both cities to four each way.
