Belfast City fund kids discovery flights
18.05.11
Belfast City Airport’s Community Fund has paid for a pleasure flight around the Mournes for two groups of young school children. The children, aged between 4 - 7, are from Knocknagoney and Short Strand Community Centres. Many of have never flown before, and were treated to the 40-minute flight as part of the ‘Journey Project’ expedition funded by the airport.
The project provides children from after school groups at the Short Strand and Knocknagoney Community Centres the opportunity to develop cross community friendships based on a series of shared experiences.
