Zoom announce Canada summer schedule
21.02.08
Zoom Airlines has announced the summer 2008 schedule for its routes between Belfast International Airport and Vancouver and Toronto. The low cost airline will continue to offer twice-weekly direct flights to Toronto, departing each Friday and Monday, with fares available from £369 return, including taxes.
It will also retain its status as the only airline offering direct flights from either Northern Ireland or the Irish Republic to Vancouver, with a single weekly service departing each Thursday. Fares on this route are from £429 return, including taxes.
A spokesman for the airline said that its Belfast services have experienced a 25% increase in capacity since last year, which is 'testament to the level of demand from the travelling public taking advantage of Zoom's transatlantic flights.'
John Doran, managing director, Belfast International Airport, said, ‘Since Zoom entered the market they have brought travellers low fares and flexible booking options. Canada is a growing destination, not only for the friends and family market, but also providing access for Canadians to visit Northern Ireland and beyond.’
Zoom operates an 'budget airline style' booking service with flexible one-way fares and the flights offer Economy and Premium Economy services with allocated seats, meals and soft drinks included in the fare in all cabins, and an enhanced service available in the Premium Economy cabin, with upgrades available from £79 one-way. Summer 2008 flights can be booked via www.flyzoom.com or by calling 0870 240 0055.
