Four bidders on Belfast City Airport shortlist

A shortlist of four bidders has been drawn up for the sale of Belfast City Airport, the Belfast Telegraph reports. The airport was put up for sale in May by its owners, Ferrovial, who are trying to reduce their debts after buying UK airports operator BAA.
There has been no immediate comment from either Ferrovial or the airport on the reports, but it is suggested that the aim is to complete the deal, which could be valued at £100m, by the end of October. At present Ferrovial is carrying out ‘due diligence’ - checking the details of the bidders and their offers - and this process is expected to take a number of weeks.
