Belfast International road links 'an embarrassment'

Road access to Belfast International Airport, Northern Ireland's busiest hub, has been branded an ‘embarrassment’ compared with links to Europe's airports. Assembly member Thomas Burns said further growth at the airport was being hindered by poor infrastructure, which could put off potential investors.
The SDLP South Antrim councillor said he ‘agrees wholeheartedly’ with easyJet spokesman Tony Nichol, who branded the road links shameful earlier this week. Mr Burns said he could not understand why airport traffic still forced to travel through bottlenecks such as Templepatrick, and urged the road between Nutts Corner and the airport to be dualled.
