Drug smuggler jailed

A drugs 'mule' who swallowed 107 packages of pure cocaine worth £600,000 in an attempt to smuggle them in to the UK via Belfast International Airport was jailed for 6 years yesterday.
Edward Adjei, a Dutch national aged 36, was arrested by UK Border Agency officers at the airport after arriving on a flight from Amsterdam in June 2008. He admitted charges related to drug smuggling.
