Bmibaby switch to Belfast City
25.11.10
Bmibaby is to switch its operations from Belfast International to Belfast City Airport. The budget airline will fly to Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and East Midlands from Belfast City starting in January.
A spokesman for the airline said it is moving because Belfast City offers a more convenient location. Bmibaby's parent, bmi British Midland International, already operates a frequent route between Heathrow and Belfast City. Its chief executive, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, said it made sense to operate all of the group's business out of one airport in Northern Ireland.
